Allegiant airlines

Hey all, has anyone flown on the Allegiant airlines to vegas? How is the planes, (age, ect.) Are the people that work for them friendly? Just stuff like that, I have heard that on some of these discount airlines they are not as up to snuff. I dont want to be left on a runway for 10 hours LOL sorry jetblue..

I have flown on Allegiant Air several times from Rockford, IL. Flight staff seem quite friendly and the flights have always been fine. Usually a smaller plane, but still 3x3 seating. Flights have always been on time and I love the non-stop flight. They tell you you CAN';T drink your own booze onthe plane, but we did anyway. COsts even for a pop on the plane. One fun thing they did was have whoever wanted to put a dollar in the bag with your seat number on it and they drew a dollar out of the bag. I didn%26#39;t win put my friend next to me did and she won onver 200. I would sweat flying on Allegiant.

Flown Allegiant Air many a times and thoroughly enjoyed. If you are close enough to a major airport, you can probably find similar deals and direct flights... but for us, it is closest (about 70 miles) and even with the additional fees, you can%26#39;t beat the cost ($264 roundtrip). An added benefit for us is that we don%26#39;t need to take a puddle jumper to a major airport. Allegiant is non-stop.

It also seem more fun than regular commercial flights. Everyone seems ready ready to party and start their vacation. My wife won the $5 draw on the plane. I think it was around $375.

All staff were very helpful and really made the trip up fun. On the way back I was sleeping off the previous night... so I can%26#39;t help you much with that part.

The only downfall, is the flight we take back on Allegiant always leaves Vegas at 6 a.m. We got to the airport at 3 a.m. and had to wait in line.

Overall, as long as Allegiant serves our area, we will always fly with them.

I%26#39;ve flown with Allegiant serveral times. No movies or anything, but no different than a large airline flightwise. You have to pay $11 each way if you want to pick your seat and $2 per suitcase that you%26#39;re checking. They also charge for anything you want during the flight. We fly out of Rockford, IL and it%26#39;s still cheaper than going to O%26#39;Hare. Rockford has free parking also. Leaving in 4 weeks and 5 days and can%26#39;t wait. Everyone that I%26#39;ve dealt with from Allegiant has always been friendly. Usually going out of a smaller airport means you%26#39;ll leave on time, too.

The aircraft are MD83’s mostly. But since your from Minnie-soda and in NW territory, these are newer than the DC9’s that NW flies.

Have flown Allegiant 3X out of Shreveport. No problem. Going again in July with them. Their rates go up closer to departure date, so book early.

Also flying out of Rockford at the end of April. Have never flown it before, but have heard good things from friends that have. And the free parking at the airport is worth it alone!! Anxious to see what it is like. I I thought I paid $4 for my extra suitcase, if I%26#39;m not mistaken. Maybe it went up (or it was $2 each way!!)

We%26#39;ve never flown Allegiant either, but are taking one of their flights out of Knoxville to LV. I think we had to pay 4.00 per bag too. I%26#39;m glad I saw this post. Very nervous about flying so I%26#39;m glad to hear good things about the airline.

I%26#39;m also an Allegiant Airlines fan, hubby and I flew to Vegas in November and our family of 6 flew to St Petersburg/Clearwater Airport in December. A direct flight reasonably priced, and a choice, Cedar Rapids or Rockford, which is about a 1 hr 40 min drive . We booked early so Florida airfare prices were great!! Vegas was $700 for 2 Friday thru Sunday staying at Luxor in November, booked a lower priced weekend...right now its about $850 for a weekend in June .I%26#39;d love to go, if someone can convince me $850 is still a great price staying at Harrahs. I want to take my 21 year old daughter this time, and wish I could find 4 girls able to go, the rate then is $350.00 each...with 4 in a room.

Book a direct flight with ALLEGIANT....you won%26#39;t be disappointed...

Since Allegiant began service out of Fargo, I have flown to Vegas twice (just can%26#39;t beat the price when they run their specials). I have no complaints whatsoever; the planes are clean, up to date and the attendants are friendly. One of our attendants told us that we were flying in a ';re-furbished'; plane, it had been gutted and remodeled with new and spacious seating, cargo bins, etc. We experienced no delays leaving or returning.

Luckily, our experience with Allegiant has been with no worries. Wish I could say the same for our luck in Vegas!
