Can someone explain ';Lose'; to me

On my trips to Vegas and now on the radio here in Indy about our casino%26#39;s I keep hearing this term ';Lose'; slots. What does that mean? Also how is it determined if a slot is lose and how can you really know if it is so ';lose';?

Can someone explain ';Lose'; to me

It%26#39;s ';loose'; meaning those slots supposedly pay out more than those that are ';tight';.

';Lose'; is what you invariably do when paying slots irrespective of how loose they supposedly are... :-)

Can someone explain ';Lose'; to me

I think you mean ';Loose';. You may want to change that title. Supposedly, it means they pay out more.

I%26#39;ve never had better luck on a ';loose'; machine than any other; but if you play more often, maybe you see a difference.

Do you mean ';Loose?'; ';Loose'; slots are the opposite of ';tight.'; ';Tight'; slots have (sometime perceived) a lower payout ratio. I.E., fewer bonus rounds, fewer jackpots, take your money quicker, etc. ';Loose'; slots seem to let you play longer, give you more bonus rounds, etc. Often times it is all in the perception of the player or a case of really good timing or poor timing.

I think we all just answered that at the same time.

';Lose'; would be what I do at ANY slot.

';Lose'; is what you get if your slot machine isn%26#39;t loose! If it%26#39;s not loose, it%26#39;s ';tight'; and you are therefore a ';Loser';!

Yes I ment ';Loose'; and exactly how do they determine that and can a machine be set up to pay out more or less?

Love ALL of the responses...too funny!!

%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; ';';LOSE ';'; IS CORRECT WORD

Each time you play a slot ,,, U Lose.

The slot keeps all the money.

When people say that slots are tight or lose, it is more about perception....ie ';I don%26#39;t like playing at Mirage, the slots are really tight there';

But, in terms of whether some slots are set up to pay out more (and seem looser), I believe that is directly proportionate with the denomination of the game. The higher the denomination, the higher percentage of payout.

This means that penny slots have the lowest percentage of payout and nickel slots are better, but dollar slots are a higher percentage of payout beyond that. Also, some slots are set up to have greater payouts when you bet the maximum amount per line and max lines.

and, I did it too... I meant to say, ';tight or loose';
