Getting to the RIO from midstrip

I%26#39;m wondering if there are any shuttles from hotel to the Rio hotel from midstrip. I want to check out there buffet. Is it close enough to walk from say, the flamingo? Thanks! (i know i can take a cab, but just wondering if any free shuttles over there). Oh and the best way to get Ellis island also!

Getting to the RIO from midstrip

go to bally%26#39;s south (across the street) or harrahs north (a couple casinos down) they both offer a free shuttle to the rio.

There is a free shuttle between Harrahs/Rio, and I think a couple other HET properties, not sure which. Ellis Island is directly behind Ballys. From Ballys head out onto Flamingo Rd and go to the right. Its just beyond the large (employee) parking lot behind Ballys. Great food!

There is a shuttle that picks up at Caesars by the Augustus Towers entrance. It runs every 20-30 minutes.

Here is information on the Rio shuttle:

It is possible to walk there but I wouldn%26#39;t recommend it-especially at night. It is not a pleasant walk. Once you pass CP there isn%26#39;t much around and it gets very dark in some areas. You have to cross two highway ramps- one does have a light but the other has an overpass that swings way out from the sidewalk/street and has no lights on it. I found that overpass very creepy and isolated at night. The sidewalk is narrow at points and Flamingo Road is very busy. But the walk is doable.

People have already told you how to get to EI. I just walk down Flamingo Road to Koval. It is an easy walk. The off menu steak dinner is a real bargain.

For some reason the complete link did not appear so I am going to paste the information:
