Excalibur new rooms and pools or MGM?

We are going to be in Vegas for 4 nights in Sept. 2 adults and 2 boys aged 10 and 13.

Are the new %26#39;Widescreen with a view%26#39; rooms at Excalibur comparable with either the Deluxe or Bungalow rooms at MGM?

Is the new pool area at Excalibur comparable with the pool area at MGM?

I have not stayed at Excalibur but I have stayed at MGM, grand tower, (deluxe room and Hollywood suite),

please choose MGM.

I spent some time in the lobby at the EX and where the games are and I swear there is some funky smell coming from that casino.

My DD stayed at the EX with her Father and she said the rooms were not as nice as the rooms at MGM.

If you stay at MGM then you have agreat place next door called Gameworks- 3D video games and other games I am sure the boys would like the games at gameworks better then the EX.

My DD who is 10 likes to watch the handlers play ball with the MGM lions and she loves the lazy river at the MGM.

If you can take the boys for dinner to Margaritaville great floor show on the hour and food is large portions for reasonable prices.

I%26#39;m booking a %26#39;Widescreen with a View%26#39; room at Excal in August mate, can%26#39;t compare to MGM though but good hotel for kids.

I have stayed at Ex in the widescreen rooms and they are very nice, especially for the price you pay. Of course, MGM Grand is a much nicer property with a better pool but you are going to pay more money. There is a mini tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay and walkway access to NYNY and MGM Grand.

Excalibur has remodeled their pool area and it looks very nice. There are pictures of it in the reviews posted on TA.

It just depends on what you%26#39;re looking for. How much time are you going to spend in your room? Whatever you decide, have a wonderful trip.
