1st Vegas Trip: MGM Grand

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I will be staying at the MGM Grand from March 31-Apr 4th.This will be our first time in Vegas. I have learned a lot in the Vegas forums but have a few questions:

Over Paid?: We booked though a travel website and for airfare (non-stop flight from JFK) + Hotel ( Deluxe King room) + airport transportation we paid a total of $1,319.64 USD. Was this a deal? I thought so but I have since read about all the great deals and now I am left to wonder if we overpaid.

Room Quality: What exactly does “Deluxe King Room” mean at the MGM? I have read that you can ask for upgrades upon check in etc…but I am just curious. Any suggestions?

Crowd: Do you think we’ll be surrounded by a bunch of rowdy young drunk College kids? (I read the walls are paper thin @ the MGM) I now realize April is the start/height of Spring Break time ( no offense by the way! …I am only 26 so it wasn’t that long ago that I WAS a young drunk college kid lol)

Thanks in advance for your answers … I will also welcome any other tips %26amp; advice you may have!

1st Vegas Trip: MGM Grand

Sounds ok to me, considering the price of flights now. I always book our flight and room seperate.(our first trip in 05 we did book thru a travel website)

It%26#39;s good to have a non stop flight.

We stayed at MGM in a West wing room the deluxe king room is probably their regular room with a king size bed. I always take ear plugs with me while traveling they work really good, I got mine at Home Depot in the power tool section.

Go to Margaritaville down by the Flamingo and get the volcano nacho%26#39;s and a margarita and the Paris buffet for breakfast, Tequila bar at Bally%26#39;s Sign up for players card at each casino if you are gambling, never know what kind of offers you%26#39;ll get in the mail for future trips.

Most of all have a fun trip and good luck to you.
