I am notorious for changing hotel reservations many times. I%26#39;m going 4/21-4/24 and have switched from MGM to Harrah%26#39;s already - trying to save money for my traveling companions. Well, they can%26#39;t go so I%26#39;m now going alone. I was keeping the Harrah%26#39;s reservation because it was a really good rate - $199 for all 3 nights, luxury room. I was hoping for a renovated room.
Now I see a good rate for Monte Carlo - $230 for all 3 nights with a $25 dining credit and $10 free play. I would really like a good bed. I%26#39;ve read the reviews and searched the forum but can%26#39;t find any postings about MC%26#39;s beds since 2006.
Can someone help tell me how the beds at the two hotels compare? I%26#39;ve never stayed at a Harrah%26#39;s property. I%26#39;ve always stayed at the Mirage or TI. I really like that area of the strip. But in my previous exploring in and out of casinos, I like the area of MC. I like gambling at NYNY - fun vibe. The rooms at NYNY don%26#39;t look very impressive so I don%26#39;t really want to stay there. By the way, the beds at TI are heavenly!
Thanks in advance!
Considering another switch - Harrahs or Monte Carlo - help!I%26#39;ve stayed at both. MC is a half a star ahead of Harrah%26#39;s but I had more fun at Harrah%26#39;s. My money lasted longer and the customer service was friendlier. I can%26#39;t think of any dining outlets at MC I would be excited to eat at so paying $30 more at MC for a dining credit doesn%26#39;t work for me.
The bed was comfy at Harrah%26#39;s. The bed good at MC, too, but it was a long time ago.
Considering another switch - Harrahs or Monte Carlo - help! Thanks Leo! I%26#39;ve actually enjoyed gambling at Harrah%26#39;s when we stayed at Mirage and TI. I think I might give Harrah%26#39;s a try since I have yet to stay at a Harrah%26#39;s property. Thanks again!
MC%26#39;s beds are to die for!!! VERY comfortable. That%26#39;s one of my favorite things about the place - that and I always have great luck there.
Haven%26#39;t stayed at Harrah%26#39;s so can%26#39;t compare the two.
Like the fact that it%26#39;s next door to NYNY and across from MGM as well.
I%26#39;ve stayed in the Monaco Suite at MC and I really liked the bed. Very comfortable. I%26#39;ve never stayed at Harrahs so I can%26#39;t comment on it. I liked MC%26#39;s beds more than Mirage%26#39;s beds though if that helps any.
I stayed at Harrah%26#39;s ten years ago and thought it was nice. Monte Carlo is a nicer property overall. It%26#39;s much newer with better dining choices and a nice pool. I can%26#39;t answer your comfortable bed question because I%26#39;ve slept several times since then.
MC %26amp; Harrah%26#39;s beds are both very comfy. I know Harrah%26#39;s has the Ultra Soft Pillow-top mattresses, not sure what kind MC has. I also like Harrah%26#39;s location, the casino vibe, great places to eat, %26amp; great night life.If you play with Harrah%26#39;s card you will probably get comp meals so you%26#39;ll save a lot more money than staying at MC. What I am trying to say is that it will make up for the extras that you would be getting at MC %26amp; still save money.
Thanks everyone! Just found out I can get TI for $267 and $50 free play. I would play the $50 anyway, so it%26#39;s roughly $30 more than Harrah%26#39;s and I know I love TI%26#39;s beds. I haven%26#39;t done well in TI%26#39;s casino though but I have managed to get some meals comped there. Decisions decisions decisions. I%26#39;m likely to change my mind 3 or 4 more times before I leave. I just might reserve TI also and keep both reservations until closer to my travel dates.
Thanks again!
I would definitely go with TI. I also love the beds there, best I have slept on in a hotel!!
Have a wonderful trip!!!
The beds are better at MC. The pool is much better. It is newer, the rooms are a little bigger, and the impression overall is that MC is cleaner and nicer
I will be at Harrahs almost the same time as you!!! But now with the TI offer on the table go with TI!!! If I would have moved my trip by a couple days I would be staying at TI instead of Harrahs, but Harrahs is much cheaper for me for my dates.
