please say i have done the right thing!

Hi me and my husband are coming to the las vegas from the uk for two weeks from may4th. We had originally booked our first week at the strat and our second week at excalibur.

Any way after reading about the start being in a less than desirable area i started to worry that we were going to be far away from the srip in an area not that safe to walk in. So i thought that as this will be a once in a lifetime trip (well for the forseable future anyway!) and as we are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary the first week of our stay i would try and get somehting a little more central.

So i found out about priceline and have just had a winning offer accepted for the VENETIAN! I have paid 147 dollars a night for 7nights- please tell me i have got an okay deal i think my hubby is going to kill me!

Good price for the Venetian! You%26#39;ll love it. MUCH better location on the strip than the other two, and very upscale. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! You DID do the right thing!!!

Seems like a good price. I put in a week from May4th of their site and it was $239+tax a night.

You got a great deal. Rooms usually are $250 up to over 500 for weekends. I have never stayed at the Venetian but is one of the nicest places on the strip. Go to www.goggle.com and check out the Venetian Hotel and Casino and you will see all about the hotel and also recent post on the hotel. Have a wonderful time.

You definitely did the right thing !!!! The Venetian is not even in the same league as the Stratosphere ... plus it%26#39;s for your anniversary and you want something special. I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll be glad you made the change. Also the Venetian is so close to all the '; happening '; spots.

But it sounds like that will be your FIRST week? It%26#39;s going to be tough going from the Venetian to the Excalibur after that. What are you paying at the Excal? Maybe we can help you find something nicer in the same price range.

Warmwinds- yes you are right we are still going to be going to excalibur for the second week and i know we are def going to be down grading. We have paid approx 680 dollars for the week at excalibur if anyone has found any better offers i would apprecate it! Might try bidding for the venetian again on priceline a bit nearer the time - at the mo it seems more expensve that week and we just cant afford it!
