I was thinking about getting a limo to take us from the airport to the MGM Grand, when we arrive in Vegas. This would probably save us some time, because we wouldn%26#39;t have to wait in a line to get a taxi. Does anyone know a good limo company in vegas that is fairly priced? Also, do you know about how much a limo would run just to take us from the airport to MGM? Thanks!
Limo Question
I was just in Vegas last week and booked a Limo from the airport to Bally%26#39;s. I used Presidential Limo, which seemed to be a popular choice here on the forums. I believe their package for roundtrip (to hotel, and back to airpost at end of trip) was around $120. I really wasn%26#39;t interesed in having the limo take us back to the airport, so I booked it for one way. It came to around $65 + driver gratuity (typically 20%). You have to call them directly to book it this way, but it was very easy to take care of. The limo driver will be waiting for you at Luggage Claim with a sign wait your name on it. For the price mentioned above, you get the limo for one hour. There%26#39;s a complimentary bottle of champagne in the limo, and there was SUPPOSED to be a red rose for each of the ladies (we never got those).
To be honest, I was a little disappointed with it. The one hour starts when your plane touches down, and our baggage took FOREVER to come out on the carousel, so we basically only had enough time to get taken dirctly to Bally%26#39;s and dropped off. Our driver wasn%26#39;t very personable, which I think made it worse. Probably just bad luck with the driver and baggae issues though, as many others here have given great reviews on Presidential Limo. If you don%26#39;t mind spending a few more bucks, and want to stop at a store to stock up on supplies, or even just take a cruise down the Strip, I%26#39;d recommend booking for 1 1/2 hours just to be safe.
By the way...how many people in your party? Rates are different for more people. I think the rate I quoted was good for up to 6 people. Good luck with whatever you decide, and have fun!
Limo Question
I would never ever use Presidental again !
Thanks for the advice! It%26#39;s just going to be me and my wife, and we really aren%26#39;t looking for anything special. I was just thinking maybe it would be a quicker way to get us to our hotel, that way we can get checked in and then we can get out exploring vegas! I hear some of the lines to wait for a taxi can get very long at times! If anyone has any websites I can go to for prices, that would also be very helpful. Thanks again!
Presidential Limo is popular on this forum and many people have been happy with their service. I have never used them but here is the website:
http://www.presidentiallimolv.com/
Also-there are walk-up limos and sedans right outside the airport. Some people claim they were able to negotiate a cheaper price than what was listed. I think all limos charge by the hour.
http://www.mccarran.com/03_shuttles_01.asp
The cab lines may be long- but they usually move very quickly.
I%26#39;ve used Presidential on three trips (round trip packages) and loved it, won%26#39;t use a taxi or shuttle again. We requested our favorite driver Saul, he%26#39;s fantastic. Jason is really good as well but we really hit it off with Saul. He gave us several passes to clubs and offered to take us to a liqour store even though it would have taken us past our hour. He also gave us his card and told us to call him should we need to go anywhere. I just google Presidential Las Vegas to find the website.
Beer, if all you need is a ride, follow the signs at baggage claim to the limos/ shuttles, Iutside you%26#39;ll find limos for hire and you should be able to negotiate a limo or Town Car for around 35 bucks.
I%26#39;ve used Presidential several times and have always had good service and good drivers. You can forgo the rose and booze as well as the name on a card and get a reserved ride from them for a good price as well.
Have fun.
Just booked with Presidential, thanks for all the advice!
We usually just walk out the door and get a limo or a town car right away. We%26#39;ve also used the taxi sometimes. The taxi lines look llloooonnnngggg, but they usually actually move very quickly. I don%26#39;t much think the limo or the town car is worth the money. Unless, like you said, you are in a hurry. They are nice. You will like it just fine.
Has anyone done the ';Ultra Strip'; tour through Presidential? Its $203 for 3.5 hours, and stops at the Fountains and Sirens shows. My wife has never been to Vegas and i figured this might be a good way to kick off the trip the first night.
I would not use Presidential Limo. I just had a horrible experience. They left me tranded for 1 hour and when I tried to get the dispatcher on the phone I was disconnected twice. The third time the dispatcher put the phone down without putting it on hold and proceeded to make very rude comments regarding me calling to try and figure out why the car was an hour late. Then on the trip home the driver ran a red light. I then had to stand out in the cold for 10 minutes while the driver tried to get the dispatcher on the phone to verify my credit card number. This was a card they already had on file.
The only positive thing I can say is that the car came as advertised. There was champagne and roses for the ladies.
I am a LV local and have used many limo companies in town - Presidential is by far the worst.
