Sam's Town first trip

Second time of trying - not sure if my first attempt, not finished, was posted. I must have pressed the wrong key.

I%26#39;d appreciate some help on the following:

1.What is the best way to get to Sam%26#39;s Town from the airport? How much should it cost?

2. Where is the nearest shopping mall?

3. Are there other casinos/hotels nearby?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Sam's Town first trip

I have been there, but never stayed there. I read it cost $ 20 by cab to get there. They have free shuttle to the strip and downtown. There are shopping malls on the strip. Don%26#39;t know if you know this, but if you put Sams Town in the search on the left side you can read reviews of TA%26#39;s stays there. It may be helpful in answering your questions until other TA%26#39;s wake up and get on this forum. Good luck!

Sam's Town first trip

1. Cab, it probably will run about $30 maybe $40

2. The Galleria at Sunset. Sams is on Boulder Hwy and Flamingo, The Galleria is just west of Boulder on Sunset across the street from Sunset Station. The Boulavard Mall which isnt as good (both shoping or clientele) is west on flamingo to MAryland Prky toward the stip its a little further than the Galleria

2. Sams is near Boulder Station and Sunset Station isnt that far, but you are isolated in a residential area in not the best (or worst) part of town.

Hi

We have stayed there and there were no casinos very close, as in walking distance that I can remember. We always rent a car so can%26#39;t really help you with airport/hotel. I know they have a shuttle but staying at Sams Town I would say having a car is a must. The only casinos in the area are not very nice ones anyhow, well didnt appeal to us, so if you are looking for alternatives to visit it would be downtown or the strip.

Thanks to you all for replying. I%26#39;m now having a rethink about whether to go to Sam%26#39;s Town.

Cab fare will cost you $20/25. A shuttle will cost $7/8. Sam%26#39;s Town does have a shuttle to the strip and downtown but the shuttle stops running from the strip rather early for most people. I wouldn%26#39;t want to have to take a cab back to ST from the strip- although I am sure there is a public bus available.

Sam%26#39;s Town really is best for people who have a car. Taking cabs, busses, shuttles, etc. to get anywhere is going to cost you time and money.

Sams Town has free shuttles...they take you downtown, and several spots on the strip...so it is easy to get to the strip...but abit time consuming

To get there from the airport is expensive. You could grab a cab to Tropicana and catch the free shuttle out to Sams, but not if you have alot of luggage.

I have taken the Sam%26#39;s Town Shuttle from the Fremont Hotel to Sam%26#39;s Town a couple of times. It is isolated IMO so I think a car would be a priority if you stay there.

Shuttle service from the airport is provided by Showtime Airport Shuttle Service. The cost is $20 per person one way or $35 per person round trip from Sam%26#39;s Town to Airport. The shuttle service begins at 7:00 AM and ends at 1:00 AM. Call Showtime Tours 24 hours in advance for pickup at Sam%26#39;s Town, 702-261-6100. From the airport, go to the shuttle booth outside door 12 to make shuttle arrangements. Taxi service also available from $18 to $25 for up to 4 people one-way.

Here is the shuttle schedule for Sam%26#39;s Town. As you can see- the shuttle returns from the strip to Sam%26#39;s Town at 9:30. That is very early if you want to enjoy the strip .

Sam%26#39;s Town is NOT near anything fun! Its remote from the Strip (Las Vegas Blvd), and unless you are here visiting family who lives near there, I would recommend staying somewhere on LV Blvd. There are several shopping malls right on the Strip. Some casinos are within walking distance there, but generally they are kind of far apart.
