I was always thought this was a myth. I%26#39;m not a big gambler...(in the casino anyway)...LOL.. maybe because I%26#39;m at the change slots? Nobody ever comes over and offers to get anything. People swear you shouldn%26#39;t pay for drinks while in a casino...but I always thought it was if you are in the big roller lounge/table.
Drinking for FREE while gambling

Drinking for FREE while gambling
Belly up to the bar my friend... drinks are on me!
Wow...thanks for posting that site! $1 per drink is good for a tip... That%26#39;s not bad at all!
By no means am I a high roller. I find that the often spoken of $20 trick is quite effective during cocktail service. I tip twenty with first drink tell em don%26#39;t forget me usually get 3-4 bourbons tip a couple bucks there after per round. Free. Probably bout even. Sometimes though 10-12 drinks.
jar77, you are consider a high roller from the cocktail waitress viewpoint for tipping $20 first drink and more later. Good for you and her.
other than a few areas of the slot machines in certain hotels, ive never had any problems with receiving free drinks while playing.
Let me make this crystal clear for you: In 7 days in vegas, if I had stayed at the penny slots playing one line at a time, I would basically have gotten paid to drink an endless supply of (crappy) rum and cokes.
Yes, you can drink for free, and it%26#39;s dead easy too. Don%26#39;t be a stiff though, and tip the waitress a buck. In my country a rum and coke cost upward of 10 bucks, so you are still quids in.
Of course if you are a high roller then the whole appeal of free drinks quickly disappear... what%26#39;s the point of drinking sub-par cocktails while spending a middle class salary in a few hours... these guys buy their own drinks.
You do get free drinks. As far as the last poster about the high rollers getting subpar drinks that is incorrect, when I play in the High Limit Areas I always get a better quality drink with top shelf liquor. You can tell the difference between the Well stuff from the floor and the actual Top Shelf stuff from the High Limit area.
keep in mind free isnlt quite accurate - you must be gambling. some posters have told of $100 cocktails! be careful
recently at The Venetian playing $200 min blackjack (good rules in the high limit area) a player at our table wanted strawberries and champagne - for his wife, who was not playing, she was watching. In less than 5 minutes it shows up - not good enough champagne - he requests and gets a $1500 bottle of bubbly, offers a glass to the 3 of us at the table and requests another bottle. My son passes - he was on call and couldn%26#39;t drink alcohol - I sure did enjoy those 2 glasses. One of the few times i drank alcohol while gambling. I%26#39;m sure most players in that area could request the champagne, I never would - just seems like a waste in that setting. Made him happy, made his wife happy and I%26#39;m sure the V is happy.
