Hi there. I%26#39;m planning a weekend getaway in May for my hubby and I. We%26#39;re in our early 30%26#39;s.Looking for a very nice hotel with a pool that has a ';fun'; atmoshere but isn%26#39;t a meat market or so crowded that we can%26#39;t get a lounge chair in the middle of the day. We%26#39;re not gamblers and would prefer a less smoky hotel if possible. Was thinking about THEhotel at MB but worried it will be too crowded and run over with kids. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also interested in bars or nightclubs that are fun but you don%26#39;t have to stand in line for.
hotel choice for FUN pool that isn't too crowded or meat mkt
My favorite pool is at the Mirage. It is gorgeous. I don%26#39;t find the casino too smoky. I guess bars and restaurants are irrelavent to me because we just travel to wherever they are, kwim?
I%26#39;ve also heard the Flamingo pool is very nice but I haven%26#39;t stayed there. MGM Grand as well.

Thanks for the input. I have a friend who loves the Mirage pool as well but I heard their rooms are undergoing renovations. Not sure about the construction. I have been thinking about the MGM as well.
Stay away from the Mirage or Flamingo if you do not want a crowded pool. These places require getting out there at the crack of down to secure a spot. Mirage has a great pool. Just way overcrowded. Casino is dark and tends to be very smoky. I love the Mirage but I do not gamble so the casino is a nonissue for me. I would suggest the Bellagio, Wynn or Venetian for the two of you. You may also want to check out the Palazzo. The pool there should be open by then I would think.
Bellagio%26#39;s pools are great, and not overrun with kids since it isn%26#39;t a super kid-friendly hotel. They are pretty and nice, and the cafe out there is great. It can be hard to get a lounger. We found one each time, but sometimes had to really look.
No one really mentions Bally%26#39;s when talking about great pools but I really like it. Again, not tons of kids and drink service is good. But you can easily also walk right up to their outdoor drink area to charge drinks to the room. Deep pool.
Flamingo%26#39;s pool is spectactular (and they have more than one, including an adult only pool). The main pool area is pretty and music plays. But, it is crowded.
Wynn Hotel %26amp; Casino. I rarely see kids at this establishment. The hotel/casino has a very good ventilation system. The pools are nice and rarely crowded (never had an issue finding a lounge chair). The Tryst nightclub does form a line during the weekends. The Blush nightclub is more laid back and less crowded.
Thank you everyone. I really need the advice so I really appreciate it.
You should check out Caesars they have 4 pools %26amp; the pool is in a tropical setting, it is the best %26amp; not that crowded since they have so many pools. Caesars has a great nightlife there plus you are close to the other great nightlife on that part of the strip.
Out of your choices I would go with THeHotel at MB, it is a standard pool %26amp; don%26#39;t have many kids there. It is more of an adult place %26amp; have a private pool away from Mandalay Bay. They have Mix there which is a lot of fun.
Have a great time in which ever you decide on.
