If you could plan a trip for 2 LV virgins that offered 3 full days of activities, what would it be? We are going in April and plan to spend about $2000 on entertainment(shows, gambling, etc)and dining, this doesnt include our hotel budget, we%26#39;ve already taken care of that. We are 2 early 30%26#39;s fun loving adults that enjoy gaming, good shows (maybe even an adult show), etc...We also ,enjoy almost any kind of food, but dont want to blow a ton on dining. Give it your best shot, I want to see what you come up with.

MIG:
Arrive airport. Take cab to hotel (Shuttle if cab line is long). Check in.
Drop stuff off, go downstairs, get Player%26#39;s Card. Attend at nearest Bar to buy drinks or play at slot machine to receive ';free'; drinks.
Eat.
Depending on where you are staying, exit hotel and go left or right along strip, checking out the other hotels, restaurants and shopping. Proceed that way to MGM or Wynn (depending on which way you turned). Gamble/drink at various hotels. Cross street and make your way back to your hotel on other side again dropping by every casino or interesting site along the way.
Find your favourite gaming activity and play/drink into the night.
The next day. Get up early (who can sleep). Hit the tables/slots until breakfast. Head down to the Fashion Show Mall to do some shopping. Stop by the 1/2 price ticket place to pick up show tickets for the evening. If you are a shopping person, then grab cab to the Premium Outlets to continue shopping.
Head back to the hotel for a siesta. See the show, eat a late dinner at that casino. Head out to the bars.
Day 3:
Gamble and pick your dinner place. Last night so make it a nice one. Make sure you have reviewed your checklist:
TI Siren Show
Bellagio Water Fountains
Paris Eiffel Tower
Roller Coaster at NYNY.
Head off to see the rest of the strip.
Back to the hotel to use the pool and take a break.
Return to gambling/drinking.
Head to the room to get changed for dinner. Have awesome dinner and decide whether the night should be capped with the bars or the casinos.
Use good luck slot machine on way back to room.
Last day. Get up. Check safe to see if any $$ left at the very back. Check with host to see if the Hundred Dollar Bills turned into 10 dollar comps.
Have going away omelet and check out.
Cab back to airport and spend time planning next trip.
What I suggest:
See as many of the major hotel/casinos as possible. Just grab a drink and walk around check out the sights, stop to gamble, get another drink, check out some shops, see some attractions, etc. It is just fun to walk around! There is a lot to see so split up the Strip into ';blocks';. For instance do Mandalay Bay, Luxor, Excal, NYNY, MGM. Next day do another block of them.
See a show. I like Cirque so I suggest Mystere or O
Have a nice meal: So much to choose from and in all price ranges. I enjoyed MESA Grill (Caesar%26#39;s) and Emeril%26#39;s Seafood restaurant (MGM)
Go to one of the bars at the top of one of the hotels: Ghost Bar (Palms), Voodoo Lounge (RIO), and/or Mix Lounge (THE Hotel @ Mandalay Bay). Amazing views and much better than going way down to the Strat.
Go to Margaritaville and/or Diablos. Have a drink, sit on the deck, and watch the people go by.
Have fun!
Thanks for the tips guys. Anybody else have have any ideas?
Walk into the casino, put the 2 g on red, and see what happens! JK!
While I wouldn%26#39;t plan every minute, I would plan a couple of meals and a show or two. This way you will have some direction and won%26#39;t be standing around scratching your behind wondering what to do next.
Also, there are too many good restaurants not to plan. If you don%26#39;t have some idea (and reservations) you will spend good money on mediocre food.
Shows:
O, Love, Mystere, Jersey Boys - if it%26#39;s there yet) and maybe even one of the headliners like Cher, Bette or Elton (not sure if there are tickets available).
Restaurants:
Rosemary%26#39;s, Mesa Grill, Olives, Delmonico, Enoteca B%26amp;B, Bally%26#39;s Sterling Brunch.
I would go to the hotel websites, look under dining, see what looks interesting and then check back with us.
Some very good advice above! I too would suggest (just from my own experience) to play it by ear most of the time you are there.....or for your first day at least...then everything else will fall into place. Read other forum posts for restaurants, clubs, etc., but don%26#39;t plan everything down to the hour. Your first day (like was said before)....you%26#39;ll arrive at the airport, take it in that your in VEGAS, get to your hotel, look around that property, go down gamble, and then head out to the strip, and everything else will fall into place. Once you head out to the strip, you%26#39;ll be pulled every which way, and you%26#39;ll find something to occupy the rest of your time there. It sounds corny, but that%26#39;s what happened when I last went. What hotel are you staying at?
One restaurant I can recommend is BOA in the Caesar Forum Shops. Its a steakhouse, and a little bit on the pricey side, but it%26#39;s AWESOME. I don%26#39;t like to spend a lot on food in Vegas either, but it was our one ';treat'; meal. Very good in my opinion.
Have a good trip and have an awesome time! We%26#39;re going back in 33 days....definitely not soon enough!
I would Visit every over the top casino there is. I don%26#39;t know where you are staying. But, start at Mandalay Bay (take free tram) to Luxor and hang out, take free tram to Excalibur (hang out) then take walkway to NY NY, from NY NY take walkway to MGM.
MGM has a monorail stop so you can get down the strip fast, otherwise if you are not worn out just walk down the strip.
A lot of the fun in Vegas (at least from me) is touring the strip and visiting all the hotels.
My must see over the top casinos are:
Luxor, NY NY, Venetian, Paris for the themes
MGM for the size (it has 5,000 rooms)
Bellagio Fountains are a must do, I just love them.
If you want to see what old Vegas looked like, visit Fremont Street (10 casinos all next to each other)
