TR for March 2 - 7

Leaving Buffalo to LV on Southwest was a decent trip and finally getting to warm weather was fantastic. Let me tell everyone the new car rental center is the best thing they have done in Vegas. Your in and out in 10 min. and on your way ( excellant ) Once arriving at Paris our checkin went quick and we were in our room right away. The rooms at Paris aren%26#39;t anything special and we didn%26#39;t really want to spend a extra $75 a night for a strip view. The only problem I had was one night when the child in the next room was screaming from 5am until we got up at 7am (I had to call and complain and funny, it was quiet the next night).

Gambling was very successfull and we mostly played slots. It did seem that the machines were fairly loose seeing that we were a couple hundred dollars up after the first day and really didn%26#39;t have to dig into our gambling money all week. I did deceide to play a 2 coin quarter machine on Friday before we were to leave and after $5 I hit 7 - 7 - 100x which paid me a cool $1250, money I took home for a change.

Eating in Vegas is always a treat and we made sure we got the most for our money. Using the American Casino Guide we saved good money eating at Gold Coast, Orleans, Green Valley Ranch buffets and Ellis Island for dinner and a few breakfasts. Of course eating at Paris buffet for breakfast is wonderful. We saved approximatly $50 using the ACG coupons. If you like the buffets these we went to are very good and have good service.

Shows we went to were the Comedy Stop at the Tropicana where if you use the $5 coupon in the magizine in the room the cost is $15 and you get a free drink. The comedians were extremely funny and the show definately wasn%26#39;t G rated. we saw Rita Rudner at Harrahs and she does relate her stories on both men and woman which gets you laughing on things you may do or see on a daily basis, she%26#39;s very funny. We did get tickets to the Price is Right Show at Bally%26#39;s ( If you have a Total Rewards players card you will get 25% off the ticket). I did get called up to the pricing game but did not get to go up on stage. This is the second time we went to this show and had a great time. Finally the last show we saw was the best, Mamma Mia at Mandalay Bay. If you have seen this show at other cities you must see it at Vegas because the stage and auditorium are built for the show and the sound is just amazing. This show was definately a TEN and I would see it again. Also the bonus was I ordered the tickets online and only paid $53 a ticket.

This trip was our tenth trip and if I ranked it amoung our other trips this was in the top three,(the $1250 jackpot didn%26#39;t hurt). I did a lot of planning for the trip and we were able to get pretty much everything in, but we only slept about 5 hours each night. The only trip for me is to Viva Las Vegas!!!

TR for March 2 - 7

TR for March 2 - 7

Sounds like you did very well with all you planned. The win must have really been exciting!! You only slept 5 hours a night? I%26#39;ll be lucky to do that when we%26#39;re there in June. Thanks for the TR.

Thanks for the report. I%26#39;ll be at the Paris in 3 weeks!

Now, where was that machine?

Thanks for the report boomer i have 1 question for you is southwest the only airline that flies non stop to Vegas?

sorry...from buffalo that is

Really good Trip Report for what sounds like a fun trip you had. Lots of good shows you saw and got lucky at the slots.

Thanks for taking the time to post.

Jaysmon03 - If can copy or view a map of the casino floor the bank of quarter machines had 5 machines back to back and they were located towards the main enterance of Las Vegas Blvd.around the leg of the tower. The machine was a 100x pay and I hope you find it and conquer it better than I did.

ROCAJR - As far as Southwest having the only direct flight, I%26#39;m not sure but I have always delt with the same travel agent and this year had to go through Southwest Vacations to get the direct flight. The only downer was the flight left Buffalo at noon on Sunday getting into LV at 3pm and left LV at 5pm and got back to Buffalo at midnight. They used to have a redeye flight that left Buffalo at 7am and left Vegas at midnight but as of this date this flight is not being offered, you might check with Southwest if they plan on offering the latter sometime.

thank you for the post , glad to hear you enjoyed yourself ...and won some $$$
