I have just cancelled my booking for CC in August, travelling with my wife and 8 yr old daughter, looking around at other options. The Excalibur looks a possibility, kid friendly etc, also looked at Signature at MGM, staying for 4 nights, don%26#39;t really want to spend more than $600 for the stay, any advice gratefully accepted.

I%26#39;d look at a Grand Tower room at MGM if budget is a priority, the rooms can be as low as $69 a night in the summer. I%26#39;m not a big fan of Excalibur, too smoky for me. Signature would be good since it is non-smoking and you could keep from taking the kid through the casino but you still use MGM%26#39;s awesome pools. Also the kid should enjoy seeing the Lions and eating at the Rainforest Cafe. Take a look at Mandalay Bay as well, the pools are very popular with kids and it might fit in your budget once the summer promotions come out.

My Daughter in 10 and I woulndt think to stay at any other place than MGM- not sig, just MGM

plenty to do with my DD at MGM and near by.

She likes to play games at Excalabur- I think that the Ex stinks inside..

She likes to look at the lions and ride the monorial, and if you stay in the grand tower you are not far from the monorail station.

Excalibur will do as a basic cheapie, that meets reasonable standards. Luxor might be better. Also Flamingo.

Monte Carlo is your better option. MGM Grand or Sig is best if a good rate is available.

Same with Rio, big rooms, nice pools, 1 km offstrip with free shuttles.

All of these have well kept facilities and very nice pools, CC pool is pathetic

Signature has only a King bed in all rooms, but there is a good sofabed in all rooms also. sig is very nice and quiet.

Mandalay Bay is great also with good pool and is nice.

Great move cancelling CC i would opt for anything else.

Your daughter might have liked CC but I bet you%26#39;d gone a little crazy...lol

We stayed at the MGM in Feb with a 16 and 12 yo. We had a Grand Tower room overlooking NYNY. The room was great. We all loved the hotel. Good buffet with plenty of choice. We had a look at most of the hotels on the strip and, with kids, I think the MGM was the best one. Will probably go back next year without kids and stay at the Wynn.

why did you book CC in the first place and what made you change your mind..just curious?
