I recently stayed at Excalibur and had an overall good time, I was wondering if anyone had stayed at both there and Bills Gambling Hall and which they liked better. It is for trip Christmas day thru the 29th
Excalibur or Bills
Bill%26#39;s has been described as an old, ugly flea pit, and that is fairly accurate. The rooms are good, though.
Depends on which location you like better
Excalibur or Bills
I have stayed at that end of the stip, not Excalibur. I%26#39;ve been to Bills(loved it!). The reason why i will not stay on the ';end'; of the strip anymore is location, location, location. Depending on where I%26#39;ve wandered off during the day it%26#39;s always easy to come home when you%26#39;re in the middle of the action.
I%26#39;ve been to the Excalibur Casino and didn%26#39;t like it and I%26#39;ve stayed at Bill%26#39;s twice and love both the casino, the hotel rooms and the restaurants. It%26#39;s not a dump.
I have stayed at Bill%26#39;s and I can%26#39;t think of anything negative to say about it. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent the staff - helpful and friendly. You don%26#39;t have to hike forever when going from your room to the strip. And you absolutely can%26#39;t beat the location. You can just about walk to anywhere on the strip (north or south) from Bill%26#39;s. Plus- you have Big Elvis right downstairs!
I been to both i prefered Bills.
I have been to both %26amp; prefer Bill%26#39;s also, due to location, great staff %26amp; very clean rooms %26amp; you can get a view of Bellagio fountains from your room. It is a small casino so it is easy to navigate through %26amp; close to Flamingo for a great vibe casino %26amp; Margaritaville.
Been to both and Excalibur was dirtier and more flea ridden in my opinion. That place definitely needs an upgrade!
These are two different kinds of properties. Excalibur is a full-scale resort whiel Bill%26#39;s is more of a ';no frills'; sort of place - nice rooms, but no pool, spa, etc. You need to decide what it is you%26#39;re looking for in a hotel. I thinkt he general consensus is that Bill%26#39;s is a very good choice for the type of property that it is, especially with its central location.
For a December trip, you%26#39;re not going to need a pool anyway, so I would probably suggest giving Bill%26#39;s a try.
It depends on what you%26#39;re looking for. As said before, Excalibur is a full scale result and Bills is not. The new widescreen rooms at Ex IMO are nicer than the rooms at Bills and bigger but I do like the location of Bills better, more central. Excalibur is not flea ridden and dirty as some would have you think but you know that if you recently stayed there. We stayed there in Dec and they are definitely trying to update and ';clean up'; and it was way better than a few years ago when I was there. They have added a new pool and the pool area looks really nice. You might try Bills for something different than Ex but really, either is fine and a good value.
Have a great trip!
txmimi, I am VERY glad to hear they are cleaning up the EX. Forgive me for relying on my experience from two years ago. But one question... do those people still pushing vacation time shares bombard you at the entrances? They drove me nuts!
