Hey, I%26#39;ll be there in the first part of April. Not sure if it will be swimming weather. Anyone know? I see that it is generally about 70 plus degrees, but I do not know if that is hot enough to have the pools comfortably warm or what? Are the pools always open?

Thanks! So, are they really busy in April? I mean I don%26#39;t want to freeze my butt off. How heated are they?
The high temp in Vegas doesn%26#39;t occur until about 5:00 in the afternoon. So if the high is 73, that means it will be in the 60s most of the day when you%26#39;d be at the pool. The pool itself will be heated to 75-80 degrees, but you might be pretty cold when you%26#39;re not in the water.
In any case, it%26#39;s easy enough to pack one swimsuit and just hope for the best :)
Just got back from MGM on March 6. Only one pool was opened, and I did take a dip. The pool is located in a place where the sun hits directly, and you get no wind!!! The sun is hot, and the pool is warm, so it is definitely comfortable enough to swim.
Do they charge extra to go on the lazy river ( Backlot River ) ?
Thanks
yay thanks! I%26#39;ll bring my bikini :) FYI, I do not think they charge anything for the river, but it looks like it is only open on the weekend for now.
There is no charge for the lazy river, assuming it%26#39;s open. They do charge to rent floats for those who don%26#39;t have a built-in one in their tummy :)
Here is a great video of what you may encounter at the MGM pools ... see below

When we were there in Feb one pool was open and there were LOTS of people about, a few in the water. We also had a large group of 20 somethings on the other side of the pool from us doing jello shooters, and they were funny to watch but NOTHING like this guy!
