Monorail/Tram Service

Staying at TI %26amp; would like to visit all strip hotels. Have few days to do this so I would like to pace myself, as we want to gamble, check out hotel %26amp; have drinks along the way; maybe visit 3 a day. What is easiest way to get down strip from TI, maybe work my way down or vice-versa from Mandalay Bay. Any suggestions ?

Monorail/Tram Service

its actually not a bad walk up the strip ...

you can always use the tram , what i normally do is do 1 side of the strip one day , the othr side the next .

wan you get to excalibur, you can get the free mono that goes to luxor and mandalay bay

check out the monorail site:

Monorail/Tram Service

Check out this map for monorail and trams.

Duece will take you downtown, but then again so will a taxi!

Good deals are on the monorail sight provided already!

I am not a great fan of the monorail. Be aware of the fact that many of the stations are set way back from the strip. It can be a long hike to and from each station. To me it only makes sense if you are going from the south end of the strip (MGM) to the very north end- Sahara or the Hilton.

TI is connected to the Mirage by a free tram. Once you are at the Mirage you can walk to many places- Bellagio, CP, Bally%26#39;s, Paris,Harrah%26#39;s, PH, etc.-no need for transportation. The walk from Flamingo Road to Tropicana is not that bad. Once you get to intersecion at Tropicana you are at the south end of the strip and you can then see- MGM,NY NY,Excalibur (there is another free tram at the Excalibur that will then get you to the Luxor and Mandaly Bay).

We stayed at Bills and pretty much walked to every hotel. This was in September and the weather was quite cool.

We are going again in June and am guessing that it will be too hot to do as much walking.

I found the monorail too far away. By the time you reach it you might as well have walked.

OK must agree that the monorail is`nt very good for short trips, the walk through MGM to the station seems to go on for ever !

The big plus is the longer journeys as previously mentioned MGM to Sahara, etc. This can take an hour in Strip traffic sometimes, but a stress free speedy 15 mins in aircon comfort on the monorail !!

we are staying at mgm and plan to walk down the strip but when we go dt , we will take the mono to sahara, the cab or bus it up

Take the deuce (the bus) from the TI end down to the NYNY Excalibur end. There is a covered bus stop right across the street from TI at the Fashion show mall. Tour all the hotels at that end, NYNY, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM. There is a free tram that connects the Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. MGM is across the street from NYNY. Catch the bus back from a bus stop in front of the Tropicana which is across the street from the Excalibur. Touring the Tropicana is not necessary unless you want to be depressed. It is tired, dirty and worn. You can walk down to the other mid-strip hotels (Caesars, Flamingo, Mirage, etc.) another day.

Its easier to walk out of the TI and catch the duece at the Siegried and Roy Statue in front of the mirage.
