What and Where is Slots-a-Fun????
What and Where is Slots-a-Fun????It is a small casino next to CC. It is lively with cheap everything- drinks, gambling, etc. You will not mistake it for the Wynn, that is for sure!
What and Where is Slots-a-Fun????Wow.. you must be a first timer..? ;) It%26#39;s a hole-in-the-wall casino south (next to) Circus Circus and across from the Riviera. It%26#39;s the smallest casnio on the strip and has no hotel.
Heres some copy and pasted info: It%26#39;s special little place.. go for the cheap food if anything!
The Slots-A-Fun Casino is a small casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada owned by MGM Mirage. It is adjacent to the closed Westward Ho and in the south-east corner of Circus Circus.
While Slots-A-Fun is closely associated with Circus Circus, it is independently managed and provides its own unique casino experience. It is one of the smallest casinos operating on The Strip, and offers some of the lowest table-game betting minimums on the famed street. As of 2007, players could wager as little as $0.50 at roulette, $2.00 at craps and $1.00 at blackjack. These tables are usually incredibly busy during peak hours and are almost completely inaccessible without a long wait or some luck. The craps table is directly located at the main open-air Strip entrance and, of all gaming tables in Las Vegas, is the gaming table that is physically located closest to the traffic of the Strip).
The casino is well known for its food specials, such as a half-pound hot dog for 99 cents, $1 margaritas, and beer for $1.25 a bottle. The casino has a Subway and Noble Romans near the center of the hotel. Also noteworthy is the casino%26#39;s free donuts and coffee for early morning gamblers
wow! thanks guys! i%26#39;ve been to vegas a few times before...but have never seen or heard of this place!
getting married in vegas in august!
In the American Casino Guide there is a coupon for a free hot dog and beer. The hot dog is a foot long and can be had with all the toppings, even sauerkraut and chili if I remember. Finding a clean place to eat the hotdog is a bit more of a problem. I vote for outside. Get the beer first and use a knife and fork on this big dog.
Also in the ACG there is a coupon for a free deck of cards and a funbook. With the funbook more decks of cards are available in the gift shop for 75 cents. Many of the cheap decks of cards sold in Vegas have been marked in black along the edges and poker players at home won%26#39;t play with them. When I was there in December, these decks were clear. They also come in a variety of colors rather than just the red and blue.
The craps is very cheap, 1-2 dollars and fun. I think there is just double odds.
There is lots of cheap blackjack.
Sometimes there are free spins or promotions. Check and see.
It%26#39;s famous for it%26#39;s footlong hot dog!! One of the best values in town!!
';You will not mistake it for the Wynn,that is for sure!';
Truer words were never spoken. I spent hours in there looking for the check-in desk only to be informed that they don%26#39;t have any hotel rooms. Man, did I feel stupid!
SAF offers a ';downtown'; feel right there are the Strip. I make a point of stopping in every visit, even though I have stayed on the south Strip the past 10 visits or so. It%26#39;s a throw-back to my early days when I was based at the Stardust. Drink service is good %26amp; friendly, slots seem a bit more loose than the Strip%26#39;s mega-resorts. Beware, though: I don%26#39;t think they have any machines with TITO yet, just coin payouts under 1,000 credits. There Player%26#39;s Club is tied in with Circus Circus, and is NOT part of MGM-Mirage%26#39;s club, even though they own both of them.
Slot%26#39;s o fun is the ultimate definition of a dive casino.
It smells real bad especially towards the back. kind of a sour smell like it hadn%26#39;t seen soap since Reagan was in office.
It%26#39;s true that have loose slots, strong, strong drinks, very low limit tables (be prepared to wait for a seat though) and cheap food.
Bring some hand sanitizer when you go though.
I personally would avoid it. It just not worth it. So what they have cheap food and strong drinks. The place is a sh*hole, in the truest sense of the word.
You are not missing anything by never going in there.
I was just there last week and it is nasty. If you stay up by the street the smell isn%26#39;t that bad.
I%26#39;mnot overly sensitive (I used to work in a bar) but I know what a garbage place is and this my friend is it.
If you are Mr/Mrs High end snooty upper crust then don%26#39;t go you won%26#39;t like it, if you are just Average Joe/Janet then go and you will like it. Yes it%26#39;s old, yes it%26#39;s cramped, but it is fun. It was better when the HO and Stardust were not just empty pits of land, but it is still not bad.
Just don%26#39;t anger Richard, the floor manager, or you will find yourself thrown out :P
indy- Now why did you have to go and mention the Ho? Man I miss that place....$1 Heinekens and bad lounge acts. That place was a blast. I was so upset on my last trip when I walked all the way from Ballys and got there, only to stare at a fence and empty lot.
