Where is chinatown?

Keep in mind that ';Chinatown'; isn%26#39;t an old neighborhod of Vegas were Chinese immigrants setteled. It%26#39;s basically a bunch of themed minimalls.

From stratstosphere, if you drive west on Sahara, turn left (south) on Valley View, get to Spring Mountain Road and turn right (west)-- that is roughly the beginning of Chinatown (Asian corridor), head west until about Rainbow (where an Asian Mall and Korean market are taking shape), this stretch of Spring Mountain roughly defined a lot of Chinese/Asian shops/restaurants. It is about 15 minutes drive from Strat to beginning of Chinatown.

Mostly eateries that serve food at all time and into the wee hours. No casino gambling. Plenty of shopping (primarily mom %26amp; pop shops catering to asian clienteles and tourists as well) and supermarkets.

Also the link only shows just one chinatown mall, there are several on Spring Mountain Road.

I see you%26#39;re from NY. As mentioned, the ';Chinatown'; there is nothing like the Chinatown in NYC. It used to be just one little strip mall and that was it. The strip mall has gotten MUCH bigger and there are quite a few more businesses now. The BEST and most authentic Chinese food (and some Vietnamese too) in town!

It is absolutely nothing like NYC Chinatown. However, it does have some very authentic restaurants. There is a supermarket and very tiny shops that don%26#39;t sell upscale merchandise. It is an interesting place to walk through. It is not just Chinese- there are also Vietnamese, Filipino, Janpanese, etc. restaurants all around that area. I always make a point of visiting it while I am there.

Asian-owned businesses stretch west on Spring Mountain nearly to Rainbow.
