I have finally narrowed it down to a choice of 3 hotels. These 3 hotels are seem to be the best for our price range. Which hotel is the nicest and in the best location???
Hooters, Hilton or Tuscany Suites??????????
IMO Hooter%26#39;s is closest to the strip, never stayed there but it looked nice. Hilton is a long walk to the strip or you can take the monorail. Never stayed there either but I have heard good things about it. Now, I have stayed at Tuscany suites and the hotel is nice, small casino, great restaurants. It is a little walk to the strip otherwise you will have to cab it. Just a little info for you, hope it helps a little bit!
Hooters, Hilton or Tuscany Suites??????????
If you%26#39;re happy with using the monorail to get to and from the Strip (a 24 hour ticket costs $9 in what seems to be an indefinite special offer) then I would definitely opt for the Hilton out of your three choices.
Have been in Hooters Casino and it is fun, but tacky. But would pick Hilton to stay, off strip abit, but you can cut through to Riveria and walk up to strip, not that far, if you dont mind a walk.
Hooters has partially refurbished rooms, clean with nice beds, and is closest to the strip, near MGM.
12 noon checkout and in-room coffee sweeten the deal.
Never stayed at Hilton or Tuscany. Have stayed at Hooters and it was fine for the price. Like the location for a low cost alternative. It%26#39;s across the street from the monorail at MGM and very short walk to Ex, NY Ny, Trop and MGM. The casino is fun but it is old Vegas. You can tram it from EX to Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
The hotel is old.. No thermostat in the rooms but high/ low controls for air and heat. Great mattresses but tacky decor. The bathrooms are old and small and when we were there in August, the water temp went from hot to cold in the shower. The rooms are nothing fancy. But like I said, fine for the price.
Loved the Dam Restaurant. LOVED the casino!!! Cocktail service was on the money. Didn%26#39;t check out the pool, but our room overlooked it and it seemed there was a party going on at all times.
Can%26#39;t really tell you the best of the three but hope my experience at Hooters helps.
Hi
We have stayed at the Hilton twice and thought it was fine, got good rates both times about $75 weekdays and $110 W/End. It is north strip and is quite away from the strip but we always have a car. There is of course the monorail station there. We have visited Hooters and did not care for the place ourseves, would not choose to stay there. Never been to Tuscany, no attractions there to make us want to go.

The Tuscany is really nice. Some friends and I stayed there in 2006 and and it was fine. It is just a short walk from the strip, no more than about 5 mins. The rooms are huge, the pool area and surrounding area are great. The whole place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere to it. Its not that cheap if you are staying for more than a few days though, but overall it is excellent.
Hi Stayed in the Tuscany Suites this time last year and found them really good, far enough from the strip but walkable distance ( 10 minutes up to Bally%26#39;s and the main Strip). Rooms(suites) were large , very large and comfortable. Clean and spacious and well maintained. Ate in the hotels restaurant in the casino area and was not that impressed with it but the Italian one, called Tuscany, i think was fabulous and not at all expensive.
We didnt use transport to get to the strip , we walked and only went on the bus once. Not any distance at all and safe to walk as always busy day and night. No noise in rooms at Tuscany even though it is situated just off busy main road. Dont know about your other options but this one was great for our needs, location, and met all my expectations.
I had no complaints when I stayed at the Hilton in September 07.
Monorail is great and the inconveniences of being off the Strip without a car seem minimal with it. It was like $9 for a 24hr pass and It was worth it to me.
