forum tower caesars - where is it??

Do you have to walk through the casino if you stay in the forum tower at caesars. I checked with the hotel and they said all the rooms in this tower have now been renovated but is the casino and view from these towers horrible? Where is the forum tower situated? We have a choice of here and the Wynn resort rooms for the same price.

Thanks

Yeah, you have to walk through the casino to get to all the towers except Augustus. I could try to explain it but if you have an offer for Wynn at the same price, the issue is moot. Do Wynn - no matter how nice the remodeled rooms are, they aren%26#39;t going to hold a candle to a standard room at Wynn.

No offense, Gilly, but why would you even ask this question if you have an equal rate at Wynn? Renovated rooms in the Forum Tower is lipstick on a pig. Unless they widened the hallways, enlarged the rooms and tore down all the buildings blocking your view, the Forum rooms are inferior to anything, probably even to a closet, at Wynn.

Not to sound dumb...Forum Tower rooms have no view, and are tiny? Anything else wrong with them? I ask because they%26#39;re coming up COMP for me on certain nights. I hear they%26#39;ve been renovated, as long as they%26#39;re clean they%26#39;d do for me. I don%26#39;t go to Vegas to look out the window. I don%26#39;t have comp rooms at Wynn. I%26#39;ve always wanted to stay at Caesars. Thanks.

From what I can gather, the rooms are about 400 sq ft. As far as view, I can%26#39;t see how none of them would have a good one unless Harrah%26#39;s only redid the rooms with a bad view. However, the entire tower was supposed to be redone so I don%26#39;t think that is the case.

What tower was I in 10 years ago that had CONCRETE (like a mesh pattern) on the outside? Have they taken that stuff off?

The older towers like Forum %26amp; Centurion all received a more Romanesque facade in the early part of this decade, matching that which was used on the newer Palace and Augustus towers. vegastodayandtomorrow.com has an interesting photo progression of all the construction that has been virtually ongoing at CP since it opened 42 years ago. Yet another tower is currently being added on the SW corner of the property. As the website notes, nothing has been imploded so far, just remodeled.

Waltrip:

My rooms at Caesars were free as well. At that price, they were worth it. For $50 more, they would not have been. I%26#39;d make sure you are getting a remodeled room. Most of their basic comp rooms are ';Classic'; crap rooms. But free is free. I%26#39;m not a big fan of the jumbled casino, especially given that table minimums are absurdly high, even on weekday mornings. But slots are slots, so if that is your game, I sure you will be fine. Just keep the little map they give you on check in. I guarantee you will need it at least once.

When I was in a Roman Tower room, if I really stretched my neck I could see some Strip lights through all the buildings in the way. From my Forum room, all I saw was the Colosseum. Up close an personal. Perhaps there are rooms with views - maybe suites at the end of the ';tower.'; The old ';towers'; are not exactly towering. Look at some pictures and you will understand why there aren%26#39;t many views to be had. I recommended the Vegas TaT images referenced above. They show it all.

Thanks, Stripcruiser, interesting site.

I%26#39;ll HAVE to stay in the Octavius tower since he was always my favorite mouse in Cinderella :)

Thanks for the info. The rooms coming up comp are both Forum Tower and Classic.

These are the same rooms most mid level HET players are getting as comped. I would compare the Forum rooms to the GO rooms at Flamingo with a worse view. They have the TV in the bathroom. The only difference is that the toilet is seperate, instead of right there in a GO room. The electronics are the same.
