When will prices drop for Aug. '08 - Vegas.com...

Hello - I%26#39;m looking to book my Vegas trip sometime in August and I always use Vegas.com because they%26#39;ve been the cheapest way for us (from Boston) every time.

Does anyone else who uses them know how much longer I should wait before booking? We%26#39;ll be going for 7 days and looking to stay at the Flamingo, Mirage... or somewhere cheaper if prices stay where they are right now. Right now, even the Flamingo is over $600 and we%26#39;ve never paid that much in the summer even for the Mirage.

My main concern is the flights... there are awesome non-stop flights listed with the packages and I%26#39;m afraid if I wait too long they%26#39;ll be gone.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated...

rockfoxxx, since nowone really does know, you are best advised to use common sense. Jet fuel will, most likely, not go down. Demand for rooms may. Perhaps secure flights now? Even though that is not your usual, you may be best covered that way. Or wait until May or even June and gamble. Get in the mood for Vegas.

Were going the end of August. Usually i don%26#39;t even think of booking the flight until june but this time I booked our flights a couple of weeks ago. I don%26#39;t see the price of fuel doing anything but going up so I grabbed a great price on a non stop flight from Ohio to vegas.

I%26#39;m waiting on the room since we stay at Paris and the offers arn%26#39;t out yet for August.

First of all, if you%26#39;re booking a hotel and air package through vegas.com, you%26#39;re really using USAirways Vacations.com. So you might as well go to the real site. Trust me, it%26#39;s exactly the same.

Second, there is no way to predict what will happen with their packages, except to note that airfares are unlikely to decrease much between now and then.

Coming from Boston, I have found that sometimes these packages are cheapest and sometimes they aren%26#39;t. For my June trip, I jumped on a cheap plane fare through Orbitz and booked my hotel stay directly with the Flamingo.

To get an idea of what airfares are doing, check kayak.com. If you know what airfare and hotel cost separately, then you can evaluate whether a package represents a better deal.
